Golden State Warriors play the third of a five-game homestand when they host the Seattle SuperSonics tonight at ORACLE Arena.
Golden State is 1-1 on the stand. On Friday, Joe Johnson scored 27 points, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out a game-high eight assists to help the Atlanta Hawks defeat the Warriors, 117-110.
Baron Davis finished with 35 points, five rebounds and seven assists for the Warriors, who have lost two of their last three games overall. Monta Ellis ended with 26 points in the loss for Golden State.
Stephen Jackson missed his second straight game against Atlanta due to a sprained left ankle. Jackson, who is averaging 20.6 points per game this season, is probable for tonight's contest.
The Warriors are 18-10 at home this season. They will host the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday and the Portland Trail Blazers on March 2nd in the finale of the homestand.
Seattle also tries to get back on the winning track. On Sunday, Pau Gasol had 22 points to lead seven Lakers in double figures, as Los Angeles earned a 111-91 victory over the SuperSonics at KeyArena.
Mickael Gelabale poured in a career-high 21 points for the SuperSonics, who have dropped two of their last three games overall. Rookies Kevin Durant and Jeff Green scored 15 points apiece, while Earl Watson had 12 points, five rebounds and eight assists in defeat.
The SuperSonics are 5-21 on the road this season. They will return home to host the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday and the Miami Heat on Friday at KeyArena.
This is the second meeting of the campaign between the clubs. On December 2nd, Andris Biedrins had a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds, as Golden State defeated Seattle, 109-96, at KeyArena.
The Warriors have won three in a row in the series. Seattle has lost four straight and seven of its last eight at Golden State.
