Houston, TX (Best E Casino) - The Houston Rockets have reportedly acquired guard Gerald Green from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for guard Kirk Snyder and a second-round draft pick. According to Houston-based FOX 26, Green informed the station of the swap. Green, who attended Houston's Gulf Shores Academy, would be returning to his home town. The 22-year-old was traded in the offseason from Boston -- which drafted him out of high school -- to Minnesota in the mega-deal that sent Kevin Garnett to the Celtics. Green has played in 29 games this season, averaging 5.1 points in 12.3 minutes per game. Snyder, in his fourth NBA season, has seen action in just nine games and is averaging 3.8 points. The move capped a day of action for the Rockets, who traded swingman Bonzi Wells and guard Mike James to the New Orleans Hornets for backup point guard Bobby Jackson in a three-team deal that included minor involvement of the Memphis Grizzlies earlier in the day.
