(Best E Casino) - The Portland Trail Blazers attempt to put the brakes on a three-game losing streak when they visit the
Dallas Mavericks tonight at American Airlines Center.
Portland wraps up a four-game road trip on Wednesday. Yao Ming had 25 points and seven rebounds as the Houston Rockets dominated the second half en route to earning a 95-83 victory over the Blazers on Monday at the Toyota Center.
LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 22 points and five rebounds in the loss for Portland, which has dropped four of its last five games overall. Brandon Roy struggled from the field (5-for-13), but still totaled 15 points and eight assists in defeat.
The Trail Blazers are just 8-17 on the road this season. They have dropped four in a row and six of their last eight contests as the visitor.
The Mavericks try to halt a two-game losing streak tonight. On Monday, Andre Miller scored 21 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out seven assists to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to an 84-76 victory over an undermanned Dallas squad at the Wachovia Center.
Josh Howard led Dallas with 17 points and six rebounds, while reigning MVP Dirk Nowitzki finished with 15 points and nine rebounds for the Mavericks, who played without starting point guard Devin Harris (left ankle bone bruise), center Erick Dampier (sprained right ankle) and key reserve Jerry Stackhouse (strained right hamstring).
Dampier, Howard (bruised lower back) and Stackhouse are all questionable for Wednesday, while Harris is still sidelined with his injury.
Dallas is an impressive 22-3 at home this season. The Mavericks will visit two-time MVP Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns on Thursday at US Airways Center.
This is the third meeting of the season between the clubs. The teams split the previous two contests, while the Mavs have won 14 of 15 and 21 of the last 28 matchups in the series.
Portland has lost nine straight at Dallas. The last time the Trail Blazers defeated the Mavericks on the road was on January 26, 2003.
