Milwaukee, WI (Best E Casino) - Al Thornton led four Los Angeles players in double-figures with 25 points, as the Clippers held off the Milwaukee Bucks, 96-89, at the Bradley Center.

Sam Cassell had 21 points and eight assists, while Corey Maggette had 20 points -- including the final four -- for the Clippers, who have won three of five. Cuttino Mobley had 12 points off the bench for Los Angeles, which wrapped up a seven-game road trip with a 3-4 record.

"We talked about how going back with three wins off this road trip would be a nice trip for us," Clippers head coach Mike Dunleavy said. "I thought our guys came out and bounced back after our last game, which wasn't a great game for us. Our rookie (Thornton) has been playing really well on the road trip for us, and he came through for us in a big way."

Mo Williams had a game-high 31 points, and Michael Redd finished with 11 points and 11 assists for Milwaukee, which has lost three in a row and six of seven. Andrew Bogut had 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Desmond Mason had 14 points.

"This is one of those evenings where I thought we were turning the basketball over and obviously not making a lot of shots that we normally would make," Bucks head coach Larry Krystkowiak said. "It ended up being a big problem for us."

Near the end of a close fourth quarter, Williams made 1-of-2 free throws to bring the Bucks within 90-87, with 1:02 left. On the other end, Quinton Ross made a jumper to push the Clippers' lead back to five.

Milwaukee, though, still had life, as Yi Jianlian made a jumper with 20 seconds, bringing the Bucks within 92-89. But, Maggette was fouled twice in the final moments, and made all four free throws to ice the game.

The Clippers took a 31-29 lead after one quarter, and no team had more than a four-point edge in the second stanza until a Thornton dunk put LA in front, 49-43. But, Redd made a pair of free throws on the other end, and the Clippers only had a 51-50 lead at halftime.

An eight-point LA run in the third quarter gave the Clippers the biggest lead to that point. Cassell had six points, and Maggette capped it with a jumper, giving LA a 67-58 lead with 5:54 left.

However, the lead disappeared at the end of the stanza, as a Redd jumper was followed by a pair of Williams free throws, bringing the Bucks within 76-74 heading into the fourth.
