San Antonio Spurs continue their season-long nine-game road trip when they visit the
Toronto Raptors tonight at Air Canada Centre.
This is the second and final meeting of the campaign between the squads. On December 28th, Jason Kapono had 15 points and grabbed three rebounds as Toronto knocked off San Antonio, 83-73, at the AT&T Center. The Raptors snapped a five-game series losing streak with the victory.
San Antonio is 8-3 at Toronto and has won two in a row as the visitor in this series.
The Spurs are 4-3 on the swing and will try and get back on the winning track this evening. Paul Pierce poured in 35 points as Boston outlasted San Antonio, 98-90, on Sunday at TD Banknorth Garden.
Tim Duncan finished with 22 points, 14 rebounds and six assists for the Spurs, who had their four-game winning streak halted. Manu Ginobili finished with 21 points, while Michael Finley netted 19 off the bench in the loss.
San Antonio is 12-12 on the road this season. The Spurs will visit LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena in the finale of the road trip.
Toronto tries to win back-to-back games, as it opens a three-game homestand on Monday night. Andrea Bargnani scored 16 points and Jose Calderon ended with 15 points and 10 assists to help the Raptors beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, 105-82, at the Target Center.
Chris Bosh added 14 points and T.J. Ford contributed 13 assists to go along with seven points for the Raptors, who have won two of their last three games overall. Kapono collected 12 points and Anthony Parker scored 10 in the win for Toronto, which shot 50.6 from the field.
The Raptors are 14-10 at home this season. They will also host New Jersey and Orlando on the current homestand.
