Honolulu, HI (Best E Casino) - Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson combined with Tampa Bay quarterback Jeff Garcia and Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens, two former teammates who parted ways under acrimonious conditions, to lead the NFC back from an early 17-point deficit to down the AFC, 42-30, in the Pro Bowl. Peterson had 16 carries for 129 yards, the second-most rushing yards in Pro Bowl history, with two scores for the NFC, and picked up MVP honors. Owens had eight catches for 101 yards and two scores, and Garcia completed 8-of-10 passes for 117 yards with a score and an interception for the NFC, which trailed 24-7 in the second quarter before closing the game with a 35-6 push. Colts quarterback Peyton Manning completed 11-of-16 passes for 147 yards with a score, and San Diego Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie tied a Pro Bowl record, held by several players, with two interceptions. Bengals receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh had two touchdowns among his four grabs for 44 yards, and Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez gained 79 yards on four catches. Garcia and Owens connected on a 27- yard gain early in the go-ahead drive, and the former teammates hooked up again for the touchdown, a six-yard strike that gave the NFC a 35-30 lead with 12:29 to play in regulation. The Derek Anderson-led AFC squad moved to the NFC 27-yard-line, but stalled there. A 4th-and-10 pass for Browns teammate Braylon Edwards fell incomplete, and the NFC took over. Garcia and Owens hooked up again on the next drive for gains of 11 and 12 yards. Peterson capped the drive and iced the NFC win with his six-yard scoring burst, boosting the NFC lead to 12 with 2:43 left. HASH(0x85555a8)
