Sacramento, CA (Best E Casino) - Kevin Martin scored 27 points to lead the Sacramento Kings past the Utah Jazz, 117-104, at ARCO Arena.

Ron Artest contributed 22 points and eight rebounds for the Kings, who have won five of their last six contests overall. Brad Miller and Quincy Douby gave 15 points each, while John Salmons had 13.

"I thought Q just came in and did a tremendous job," Kings head coach Reggie Theus said of Douby, whose 15 equaled a career high. "He was able to shoot and he wasn't going to miss the basket. Him and Beno (Udrih) both came into the game and really took us to another level defensively."

Carlos Boozer netted 23 points and pulled down 12 boards for the Jazz, who had a 10-game win streak snapped. Deron Williams poured in 18 points and doled out nine assists. Matt Harpring dropped 13 points, and Ronnie Price and Mehmet Okur had 11 points each.

Andrei Kirilenko had 14 points in defeat.

The Kings were up 32-26 after 12 minutes of play, but held just a 58-57 lead at the break.

The lead see-sawed for the better part of the third quarter, until Artest drained a three from the top-right corner of the arc and Miller followed that up with two free throws. The mini-run gave the Kings a 71-66 cushion with 7:33 on the clock.

Moments later, still down by five, the Jazz responded with nine straight points that put Utah back on top, 77-73, with just under five minutes left in the stanza. Williams had five of the points on the surge, with Okur and Boozer adding two each.

Utah's lead hovered around five before Miller hit 1-of-2 from the foul line, which set off a 5-0 run that tied the game at 85.

Boozer then hit two shots from the charity stripe to give the Jazz a two-point lead, before Douby drained a trey to give Sacramento an 88-87 lead heading into the final 12 minutes of play.

The teams exchanged baskets before a Salmons layup and a Douby trey from the top right corner of the arc gave the Kings a 106-99 lead with 5:46 left to play. After the Jazz were unable to capitalize on their next possession, another Douby three-ball gave Sacramento a 10-point lead.

The Kings used a 16-1 run in the fourth to squash Utah's 10-game win streak.

Game Notes

The Kings hit 14-of-14 from the foul line in the fourth quarter...Sacramento outrebounded Utah 45-31...Utah had 25 assists on their 39 field goals...The Kings committed 21 turnovers to the Jazz's 13.
