Dallas Mavericks go for their third straight win when they host the
Memphis Grizzlies tonight at American Airlines Center.
Dallas is 2-0 against the Grizzlies this season and has won nine straight in the series. The Mavericks have won seven in a row at Memphis.
The last time the Grizzlies defeated the Mavericks was on November 26, 2005 at Dallas.
Reigning MVP Dirk Nowitzki finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists for his first career triple-double, as the Mavericks knocked off the Milwaukee Bucks, 107-96, on Wednesday at American Airlines Center.
Jason Terry added 23 points in the victory for Dallas, while Josh Howard scored 17 points for the Mavericks, who have won six of their last eight games overall.
Dallas is an impressive 21-3 at home this season. The Mavericks will visit the New Jersey Nets on Sunday at the Izod Center and the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday at the Wachovia Center.
Veteran Jerry Stackhouse (strained right hamstring) is probable for Dallas. Stackhouse, who is averaging 9.9 points per game this season, has missed seven straight games.
Memphis enters tonight's contest on a four-game losing streak. Maurice Williams poured in 32 points as the Bucks rallied to beat the Grizzlies, 102-97, on Tuesday at FedExForum.
Mike Miller scored a season-high 32 points and Rudy Gay netted 21 for the Grizzlies, who have dropped six of their last seven games overall. Darko Milicic ended with 11 points and 11 rebounds in defeat.
The Grizzlies are 4-17 on the road this season. Memphis will visit Chris Paul and the Hornets on Saturday at New Orleans Arena.
