(Best E Casino) - The New Jersey Nets will try to stop a three-game slide when they wrap up a short two-game road trip tonight against the Charlotte Bobcats down south.

New Jersey opened the short trip with Wednesday's 100-84 setback to the Orlando Magic at Amway Arena, as Vince Carter scored 18 points in a losing effort. Jason Kidd had 13 points, seven assists and six rebounds, while Bostjan Nachbar added 13 points for New Jersey, which has dropped 13 of its last 16 games.

The Nets have dropped two straight on the road and are 10-14 away from the Meadowlands this season.

Charlotte just went 1-4 on a five-game road trip and lost the final four games of the swing. It is now back at Charlotte Bobcats Arena, where it owns a 14-14 record this season.

In Monday's 118-104 setback to the Phoenix Suns at US Airways Arena, Jason Richardson had 25 points and Emeka Okafor chipped in 18 points and 13 rebounds for Charlotte, which will try to stop a three-game slide at home. Raymond Felton scored 19 points and Nazr Mohammed added 12 and 11 rebounds in defeat.

On the injury front for Charlotte, forward Gerald Wallace (foot) is questionable against New Jersey.

Friday's game between New Jersey and Charlotte is the third of four meetings this season. The Nets are scheduled to host the Bobcats on April 15 at the Izod Center.

Both teams have split a pair of meetings so far, while the Nets have won five of seven and 10 of the 13 all-time matchups.

New Jersey has won six of seven encounters at Charlotte.
