Denver Nuggets return home after going 1-2 on a three- game road trip, as they host the Charlotte Bobcats tonight at the Pepsi Center.
This is the second and final meeting of the season between the teams. On January 14th, Gerald Wallace scored 40 points to lift the Bobcats to a 119-116 home win over Denver.
The Bobcats have won two in a row over the Nuggets. Charlotte snapped a two- game series road losing streak on January 29, 2007.
Denver attempts to make it back-to-back wins against Charlotte. All-Star Allen Iverson scored 32 points and handed out 12 assists as the Nuggets edged the Memphis Grizzlies, 106-102, on Wednesday at FedExForum.
Marcus Camby collected 13 points and 19 rebounds, while Anthony Carter added 18 points for the Nuggets, who snapped a six-game losing streak on the road. Linas Kleiza ended with 15 points and Eduardo Najera netted 11 for Denver, which again was without forward Carmelo Anthony. Anthony has missed the last five games with a sprained left ankle.
Anthony, who is averaging 25.5 points and 7.0 rebounds, is listed as probable for tonight's contest.
The Nuggets, who have won seven in a row as the host, are 19-5 at home this season. Denver will visit Brandon Roy and the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday at the Rose Garden.
Charlotte will resume a five-game road trip on Saturday and is 4-15 as the guest this season. The Bobcats are 1-2 so far on the trip and have lost two in a row, including Friday's 127-96 setback to the Golden State Warriors at ORACLE Arena.
Emeka Okafor recorded a double-double with 20 points and 18 boards for the Bobcats, who will also visit Phoenix on the current swing. Raymond Felton netted 16 points and Jason Richardson, facing his former team for the first time since a draft-day trade, finished with 10 points and four assists.
Felton is doubtful for Saturday's game against Denver with a sprained right ankle, while Gerald Wallace is expected to miss Saturday's game with a sprained left ankle.
