(Best E Casino) - The sizzling Southwest Division-leading New Orleans Hornets will try to extend their season high winning streak to 10 games tonight, when they wrap up a two-game homestand versus the Golden State Warriors. The Hornets have won nine in a row and opened the homestand with a 117-93 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Monday. Chris Paul recorded 23 points, 17 assists and nine rebounds for the Hornets, who have won seven in a row at home and improved to 16-7 as the host in 2007-08. Tyson Chandler collected 16 rebounds and 10 points, while Peja Stojakovic scored 19 points in a winning cause. Golden State will wrap up a brief two-game road trip this evening in New Orleans and is 14-11 as the guest in 2007-08. The Warriors suffered a 111-107 setback to the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, as Stephen Jackson dropped in 25 points and Baron Davis donated 21 points in a losing cause. Earlier Tuesday, the Warriors announced forward Chris Webber, who started his NBA career with Golden State, is returning to the Warriors. Terms or length of the deal were not disclosed of Webber's contract, but a San Francisco newspaper reported Webber will receive the veteran's minimum of $1.2 million. The Hornets posted a 116-104 victory over the Warriors on January 4 this season at ORACLE Arena. Paul scored 24 points and dished out 13 assists to lead New Orleans, which has won eight of 14 and 15 of the last 22 meetings. Golden State has lost 11 of its last 12 at the Hornets.
