Philadelphia, PA (Best E Casino) - Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens must reportedly pay his old team, the Philadelphia Eagles, nearly $800,000 as part of a signing bonus the team had been trying to recover in the wake of the highly publicized suspension in 2005. The Philadelphia Inquirer cited a league source in a report that said an arbitrator ruled in the Eagles' favor last Friday. The Eagles were trying to recoup $1.725 million of the $2.3 million signing bonus the club paid the controversial wide receiver when it signed him in 2004. Owens was suspended or inactive for the final nine games of the 2005 season because of constant problems with the team's front office, head coach Andy Reid and teammates. He was suspended for four games, then told not to return by the team for the last five games. The Eagles withheld Owens' last five paychecks of that season, totaling $955,880. The arbitration ruling, according to the Inquirer, will force Owens to repay the Eagles $769,120 to complete the $1.725 million. Owens told New York radio station WFAN-AM as part of an interview on Tuesday in Phoenix that he is "not really worried about it." The Eagles released Owens after the 2005 season and he signed a three-year deal with division rival Dallas.
