Golden State Warriors open a short two-game homestand when they host the
Memphis Grizzlies tonight at ORACLE Arena.
This is the second meeting of the campaign between the squads. On December 17th, Stephen Jackson had a team-high 28 points and game-high 12 rebounds as Golden State defeated the Grizzlies, 125-117, at FedExForum.
Memphis has lost two straight and three of its last four at Golden State, which has won four in a row in the series.
Golden State tries to get back on the winning track. On Wednesday, Steve Blake scored 24 points to lead the Portland Trail Blazers past the Warriors, 109-91, at the Rose Garden.
Matt Barnes finished with 14 points and six rebounds in the loss for Golden State, which has dropped three of its last four games overall. Mickael Pietrus chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds and C.J. Watson netted 11.
The Warriors are 9-7 at home this season. They will host Jermaine O'Neal and the Indiana Pacers on Sunday at ORACLE Arena.
Memphis plays the middle contest of a three-game road trip. On Thursday, Francisco Garcia's three-pointer with 7.9 seconds left lifted the Sacramento Kings over the Grizzlies, 116-113, at ARCO Arena.
Rudy Gay finished with a game-high 31 points and seven rebounds to lead the Grizzlies, who have dropped two straight contests. Pau Gasol posted 19 points, Mike Miller netted 18 and rookie Mike Conley Jr. scored 15 for Memphis, which has lost 18 straight in Sacramento.
The Grizzlies are scheduled to play the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday at the Staples Center.
Memphis is 4-13 on the road this season.
