Portland, OR (Best E Casino) - Steve Blake scored 24 points to lead the Portland Trail Blazers past the Golden State Warriors, 109-91, at the Rose Garden.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 19 points and five boards for the Blazers, who have now won four in a row and 17 of 18. Martell Webster and James Jones had 16 points apiece.

Matt Barnes had 14 points and six boards in the loss for Golden State, who have lost three of four. Mickael Pietrus chipped in with 13 points and eight rebounds and C.J. Watson added 11.

Portland outscored Golden State 30-14 in the first quarter, en route to opening up a 56-41 halftime lead. The Warriors never threatened again the rest of the game.

With 1:15 left in the second quarter though, Brandon Roy went down clutching his right knee after coming down awkwardly on it. He was helped off the court and ushered to the locker room, where the knee was examined. Tests showed no damage and Roy even returned to the game in the third quarter.

Blake had 20 first-half points for the Blazers.

The Blazers opened up a 25-point lead on a Roy pull-up bank shot with 5:07 left in the third stanza.

Moments later, the Blazers were dealt another blow as Blake went down with a left-calf contusion. He would not return after matching a career-high with five three-pointers.

Minutes later, the Warriors showed signs of life and closed out the quarter with a Watson jumper to head into the fourth down 84-64.

Pietrus' three-pointer with just under eight minutes to play sparked a 16-5 run that pulled Golden State within 16 points, 103-87.

Portland, which never trailed at any point in the game, proved to be too strong and held on for the victory.
