(Best E Casino) - The red-hot Portland Trail Blazers go for their 12th straight win when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at the Rose Garden.

This is the first of four meetings between the clubs this season. Minnesota has lost three straight after winning its last three at Portland.

The Trail Blazers and Timberwolves split four contests last season.

Portland's longest winning streak is 16 in a row, which was accomplished during the 1990-91 campaign. The Trail Blazers play the fifth of a six-game homestand this evening.

On Tuesday, Brandon Roy and Jarrett Jack both scored 17 points, as the Trail Blazers stretched their winning streak to 11 games and continued their amazing success on Christmas Day with an 89-79 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics.

Steve Blake and Channing Frye each added 12 points, while Joel Przybilla pulled down 16 rebounds in the victory for Portland, which won its 12th straight Christmas Day game and moved to 12-1 all-time on the holiday. The lone loss was during the 1971 season to Chicago.

The Trail Blazers are 13-3 at home this season. They have won eight in a row at the Rose Garden.

Portland is scheduled to host Andre Iguodala and the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.

Minnesota has dropped two in a row and plays the third of a five-game road trip. Monta Ellis scored a career-high 35 points and made a pair of key free throws down the stretch, as the Golden State Warriors edged the Timberwolves, 105-101, on Wednesday at ORACLE Arena.

Al Jefferson scored 20 points and pulled down 19 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who have lost eighth of their last nine games overall. Marko Jaric and Rashad McCants both netted 15 for Minnesota, which fell to a dismal 1-13 on the road.

The Timberwolves will visit Seattle on Saturday at KeyArena and the Clippers on Monday at the Rose Garden.
