St. Paul, MN (Best E Casino) - The Minnesota Wild will hold a press conference Saturday morning for Wes Walz, when it is expected the veteran forward will announce his retirement from the league according to TSN of Canada.

Walz, who holds the franchise record for most games played with 438, has been on an indefinite leave of absence after suddenly leaving the club at the end of October and not notifying team officials of his whereabouts.

The 13-year veteran had one goal and three assists this season. In 607 career games with Boston, Philadelphia, Calgary, Detroit and the Wild, the Calgary, Alberta native has notched 109 goals and 151 assists.
