Edmonton, AB (Best E Casino) - Shawn Horcoff and Kyle Brodziak scored 26 seconds apart in the final minute of the second period, as the Oilers continued their home mastery of the Anaheim Ducks with a 5-1 triumph.
Ales Hemsky, Andrew Cogliano and Steve Staios also scored for Edmonton, which has won 14 of its last 15 at home against the Ducks. The only loss in that stretch was 3-2 in overtime on November 28, 2006.
Horcoff and Jarret Stoll each had two assists for the Oilers, winners in three of their last four overall. Dwayne Roloson made 21 saves in the victory.
Ryan Getzlaf had the lone goal for the Ducks, losers in four of their last six games. Jean-Sebastien Giguere was lifted after giving up four goals on 23 shots, and Jonas Hiller ended with 11 saves for Anaheim.
Hemsky scored on the power play 2:12 into the game, but Getzlaf's 11th goal of the season, at 7:03 of the opening period on a shot from above the left circle, tied the game.
Horcoff then gave the Oilers the lead with 37 seconds left in the middle stanza. Dustin Penner's shot above the left circle went wide of the net. The disc bounced off the back boards and to Horcoff in the right circle, and he blasted it high past Giguere.
Brodziak then made it 3-1, taking a centering pass from Marty Reasoner from behind the net and scoring in front of Giguere.
Cogliano scored on a breakaway 1:33 into the third, as Giguere then yielded to Hiller.
Staios lit the lamp at 6:49 on a right circle shot.
