Philadelphia, PA (Best E Casino) - Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb missed his third straight day of practice Friday and is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against undefeated New England because of ankle and thumb injuries. "If I feel like he can get out there and function then I'd go that direction," said Eagles head coach Andy Reid on the possibility of McNabb playing Sunday despite missing team workouts. "He'd love to play. You just got to make sure that he's okay. I'm not going to put him out there with swollen ankles and swollen thumbs. I'm not going to do that." "We'll just see how it goes here. Today's important, the rest of today is important, and then tomorrow. We'll just see how it goes." McNabb was hurt during last week's game against Miami. He suffered a sprained right ankle during the second quarter of the 17-7 victory, but also jammed his right thumb during a throw in the first half. Reid then said Monday he was more concerned about the thumb than the ankle. Backup A.J. Feeley engineered a pair of touchdown drives in McNabb's absence to rally the Eagles, and would get the nod if McNabb is not healthy enough to go.
