(Best E Casino) - The Boston Celtics got their first taste of defeat over the weekend and will try to rebound tonight versus the Golden State Warriors at TD Banknorth Garden.

Boston opened the season with eight straight wins until suffering a 104-102 loss to the Orlando Magic on Sunday at Amway Arena. Paul Pierce registered a game-high 28 points and had a chance to give Boston the win, but missed a three-pointer at the end.

Ray Allen scored 19 points, Rajon Rondo had 18 and Kevin Garnett registered 14 points and a game-best 11 rebounds for the Celtics, who will try to improve on their 5-0 home mark this season.

The Warriors, meanwhile, have won three in a row and will try to stay perfect on their five-game road trip this evening.

Golden State is 2-0 so far on the trek and handed the dysfunctional New York Knicks a 108-82 loss on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden. Baron Davis poured in 31 points and made 11-of-20 from the field for the Warriors, who cruised to their third straight win after dropping six straight to start the season.

Davis also made 4-of-6 three-pointers, while Stephen Jackson had 23 points, seven assists and six rebounds in a winning effort. Golden State will also visit Washington and Philadelphia on the trip.

The Warriors went 2-0 against Boston last season and has won three straight meetings. However, they have lost four of the last six trips to Beantown.
