Paul Pierce registered a game-high 28 points and had a chance to give Boston the win, but missed a three-pointer at the end. Ray Allen scored 19 points, Rajon Rondo had 18 and Kevin Garnett registered 14 points and a game-best 11 rebounds for the Celtics, who will try to improve on their 5-0 home mark this season. The Warriors, meanwhile, have won three in a row and will try to stay perfect on their five-game road trip this evening. Golden State is 2-0 so far on the trek and handed the dysfunctional New York Knicks a 108-82 loss on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden. Baron Davis poured in 31 points and made 11-of-20 from the field for the Warriors, who cruised to their third straight win after dropping six straight to start the season. Davis also made 4-of-6 three-pointers, while Stephen Jackson had 23 points, seven assists and six rebounds in a winning effort. Golden State will also visit Washington and Philadelphia on the trip. The Warriors went 2-0 against Boston last season and has won three straight meetings. However, they have lost four of the last six trips to Beantown.
