Fontana, CA (Best E Casino) - Joe Gibbs Racing has scheduled a news conference for Wednesday at 11 a.m. (et) where it will likely announce what manufacturer they will run next season. Most experts are predicting that the team will switch from Chevrolet to Toyota. The team has been with General Motors for the last 16 years, earning three championships (Tony Stewart - 2, Bobby Labonte - 1). JGR just signed high-profile driver Kyle Busch to a contract to race alongside Stewart and rising star Denny Hamlin. Toyota has struggled in it's first year in Nextel Cup. Behind owners Michael Waltrip Racing and Bill Davis Racing the highest ranked Toyota driver is Dave Blaney - 33rd overall. Toyota has no wins, one pole and just six top-10s this season. Joe Gibbs drivers have earned three wins and 32 top-10s to date. Neither GM nor Toyota would comment.
