Daytona Beach, FL (Best E Casino) - Nextel Cup driver Robby Gordon received additional punishments for his actions in Saturday's Busch Series race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. Gordon was issued a $35,000 fine and placed on probation until December 31, 2007 for violation of Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) of the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series Rule Book. He was also notified that if there is another action that is deemed "detrimental to stock car racing" he would be suspended indefinitely. Gordon is in NASCAR's doghouse because he refused to restart in the position that NASCAR officials placed him, intentional knocked race leader Marcos Ambrose off the track and refused to obey a black flag given to him in the final laps of Saturday's NAPA Auto Parts 200.
