Long Pond, PA (Best E Casino) - Robby Gordon will not be allowed to run in Sunday's Pennsylvania 500 after disobeying NASCAR's black flag in Saturday's Busch Series race at Montreal. P.J. Jones will drive in Gordon's place in the No.7 Ford, but will start from the back of the field instead of 30th, where Gordon qualified. In Saturday's NAPA Auto Parts 200, Gordon was told to drop back to 13th place on the final restart, but he refused. The tower ordered him back numerous times and each time he refused to leave the second position. When the race restarted Gordon slammed into the back of race leader Marcos Ambrose, with whom he had a previous incident, knocking him off the track. Kevin Harvick went on to win the race while Ambrose finished seventh. After the race, Gordon met with NASCAR President Mike Helton for more than an hour. The last time NASCAR parked a driver in a Nextel Cup event was in 2002 when Harvick was set down for flagrant rough driving at Martinsville.
