Daytona Beach, FL (Best E Casino) - NASCAR sent penalties and fines to the Nextel Cup teams of Kyle Busch and Johnny Sauter on Wednesday. Both teams were rendered guilty of rules infractions in relation to this past weekend's race at New Hampshire International Speedway. The violations were found during post-race inspection. Busch and Sauter were each penalized 25 driver championship points. Their respective crew chiefs -- Alan Gustafson and Robert "Bootie" Barker -- were each fined $25,000 and placed on probation until September 19. Because of the penalties, Busch fell one spot to 10th in the point standings. In addition, Rick Hendrick, owner of Busch's car, was penalized 25 car owner championship points as was Joe Custer, the owner of Sauter's car.
