Daytona Beach, FL (Best E Casino) - Jeff Green driving the No.66 Haas CNC Racing Chevrolet posted the fastest time of the day on Wednesday. Green circled the 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway in 48.200 seconds (186.722 m.p.h.) to edge out Dale Jarrett (No.44 Toyota) and Tony Raines (No.96 Chevrolet).

Mike McLaughlin, substituting for Tony Stewart in the No.20 Joe Gibbs Racing Chevrolet was quickest in the morning session which was only for single car testing. Green set his time while on the track with multiple cars during afternoon drafting practice.

Even though NASCAR will allow teams a half day of testing on Thursday to make up for Monday afternoon's rainout, several teams still decided to head home after Wednesday's session.
