(Best E Casino) - The National Hockey League's two hottest clubs clash tonight when the Detroit Red Wings welcome the Nashville Predators to Joe Louis Arena. Detroit has won seven straight games, while Nashville's winning streak stands at five. The Red Wings currently hold a two-point edge over the Predators in the Central Division standings. On Wednesday, Henrik Zetterberg scored a shorthanded goal and Dominik Hasek stopped all 16 shots he faced as the Red Wings dominated the Edmonton Oilers in a 3-0 victory. Daniel Cleary and Jiri Hudler also scored, while Chris Chelios had two assist for Detroit. The Red Wings did receive a scare in the second period as center Jason Williams was carted off the ice on a stretcher after he was leveled by the shoulder of Edmonton forward Raffi Torres. Williams suffered a concussion and a cut on his head, and will not play tonight. Detroit has allowed two goals or less in each of the last five games. The Red Wings will begin a three-game road trip on Tuesday in Vancouver. Nashville, meanwhile, is coming off Saturday's 4-3 win in Minnesota -- the fourth portion of a five-game road set. Shea Weber scored the game-winning goal to lead the winning effort. Steve Sullivan had a goal and an assist and Tomas Vokoun stopped 25 shots for the Predators, who are 9-0-1 in their last 10 games overall. Vokoun has allowed three goals or less in seven of his last eight starts. Nashville, which is 7-2-0 on the road, will host Colorado on Saturday. The Wings and Preds split eight meetings last season.
