| Vancouver, BC (Best E Casino) - The Vancouver Canucks swapped left wingers with the Washington Capitals Tuesday, acquiring Matt Pettinger for Matt Cooke in a trade deadline deal. Pettinger, 27, has recorded two goals and five assists in 56 games this season with Capitals. He's spent each of his NHL seasons with Washington, after being selected in the second round of the 2000 draft by the Capitals. Pettinger has 52 goals and 99 points in 334 career games. The Prostejov, Czech Republic native sustained the injury when he was checked by Keith Tkachuk during Vancouver's 3-2 shootout win on January 23. Originally a first round pick (24th overall) by Florida in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Krajicek has registered two goals and nine assists in 39 games this season. |
