NEW YORK (AP) - Atlanta Falcons president Rich McKay is now the sole chairman of the NFL's competition committee, a role he had shared with former Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher. The NFL announced the change Tuesday. McKay has been on the committee since 1994 and a co-chairman since 1998. Fisher became co-chair in 2001, but no longer is a member of the committee; he will be a nonvoting adviser during this offseason. Fisher and the Titans parted ways in January. He was their coach for 16 seasons. |

Kern played in all 16 games for the Titans last season and logged a 42.9-yard gross average with a career-best 39.1-yard net average over 77 punts. The Titans acquired Kern off waivers from the Denver Broncos during the 2009 season, and the Toledo product has a 44.7 gross average over 187 career punts with the two clubs. |
