Wilkins, who spent 11 of his 14 NFL seasons with St. Louis, announced his intentions Friday. Hall, who has played eight seasons in the NFL, joined the Rams in 2007 after spending the first seven years of his career with Detroit. In his only season with the Rams, Hall recorded 59 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks. In 104 career games, Hall has accumulated 35 1/2 sacks and one interception. |

The team also waived goodbye to cornerback Jerametrius Butler, linebacker Coy Wire and offensive lineman Aaron Merz. The 30-year-old Thomas, a two-time 1,000-yard rusher, ran for just 89 yards on 36 carries in 10 games last season. Butler recorded 15 tackles in seven games in 2007, his first in Buffalo after playing the previous five seasons with the St. Louis Rams. Wire and Merz both struggled with neck injuries last season. |
