An MRI Tuesday afternoon revealed the strain in his posterior shoulder, but there was no rotator cuff involvement and Carpenter will rejoin the team in Florida. Carpenter, who recently returned from Tommy John surgery, has made three starts this season, compiling a record of 0-1 with a 1.88 earned run average in 14 1/3 innings pitched. |
