Burke signed a minor league deal with the Padres in January and spent spring training with San Diego before being traded to Seattle on March 29 for cash considerations. | San Diego, CA (Best E Casino) - The San Diego Padres placed Everth Cabrera on the 60-day disabled list Monday after the rookie shortstop was diagnosed with a fractured hamate bone in his left hand. The 22-year-old Cabrera sustained the injury during an at-bat in Sunday's 5-4 loss at Philadelphia and will undergo surgery Tuesday at the Scripps Clinic in Carmel Valley. He is expected to be sidelined 6-to-8 weeks. Cabrera appeared in six games for the Padres this season, batting .308 (4- for-13). |
