Have the Real Chargers Finally Stood Up? NFL Football 12/11/2007
(Best E Casino) - It is still hard to believe in the San Diego Chargers. Even though Norv Turner's team showed great spirit and determination in rebounding from a 17-3 fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Tennessee Titans, 23-17 in overtime, on Sunday. Even though the Bolts did one of the toughest things you can do in the NFL, winning road games held two time zones away from home on back-to-back weeks. The nagging doubts simply persist. tely players have been coy when asked if they believe in Cameron.

``I'm leaving that whole topic alone, dude,'' cornerback Will Allen said. ``He's the head coach.''

Cameron was hired after five years as offensive coordinator for the high-scoring San Diego Chargers, and the Dolphins' offense showed improvement early in the season. But when Beck became the third starter at quarterback this year, the unit failed to score a touchdown in three consecutive games, and the rookie was benched after eight snaps Sunday.

SAN DIEGO (AP) -Star outside linebacker Shawne Merriman will miss the San Diego Chargers' home game against Detroit on Sunday because of a sprained ligament in his left knee.

Coach Norv Turner said Monday the injury isn't season-ending.

``I'm not going to speculate, but it could be a couple of weeks,'' Turner said a day after Merriman was hurt in the second quarter of San Diego's 23-17 overtime win at Tennessee.

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, linebacker Merriman leave game against Titans NFL Football 12/09/2007

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers left Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans with a left knee sprain, then returned to start the second half.

The quarterback limped off the field after taking a blow from defensive end Antwan Odom in the second quarter.

Rivers handed the ball to LaDainian Tomlinson, rolled out and was clipped to the ground. He tried to walk off the field, nearly falling on his way to the sideline.

Rivers headed to the locker room, and was replaced by

Nashville, TN (Best E Casino) - San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman left Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans with a sprained left knee. Merriman did not return to play in the third quarter, appearing on the field in casual clothes, after dominating in the first half. He had two sacks, four tackles, and applied tons of pressure on the Tennessee offense. Denver lost significant ground to the first-place San Diego Chargers in the AFC West standings with last Sunday's disappointing 34-20 loss at the hands of the hated Oakland Raiders, while the Chiefs have taken themselves virtually out of the playoff picture with defeats in five consecutive games.
