The former NFL and Super Bowl MVP is epitomizing the kind of tough team first-year coach Ken Whisenhunt wants to build in the mold of the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he was offensive coordinator before coming to Arizona. And Warner is not the only one playing hurt. Anquan Boldin has an aching hip, Larry Fitzgerald a sore shoulder and Karlos Dansby a troublesome knee. ``When you get guys who are doing |

PITTSBURGH (AP) -Only 52 yards against the Jets, one of the NFL's worst teams against the run. Only 31 yards in the second half against Cleveland. Only 42 yards against the Ravens. This isn't the Willie Parker the Pittsburgh Steelers know, or the Willie Parker the Steelers need. Parker is second in the NFL with 925 yards rushing and needs 75 against Miami on Monday for his third consecutive 1,000-yard season. He has six 100-yard games. Still, Parker conceded he hasn't been his usual self in the past month |

The Seattle Seahawks finally halted that trend when they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XL during the 2005 season. PITTSBURGH (AP) -The Pittsburgh Steelers made the mistake they had avoided for more than 60 minutes, and it cost them. After kicking away from Leon Washington all day, the special teams allowed his pivotal 33-yard punt return to set up Mike Nugent's decisive 38-yard field goal in overtime. Of course, that was just the last of many miscues that helped turn a sure win into a loss. A defense giving up the fewest yards and points in the league allowed a 100-yard running back for the first time in 35 games. A |

The Jets (2-8) snapped a six-game skid with a 19-16 overtime victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. The celebration was short-lived, though, because the Jets are playing again Thursday and the 9-1 Dallas Cowboys are the opponent. ``Unfortunately with the short week, we move on pretty quickly here and that's what we're doing,'' coach E |
