PITTSBURGH (AP) -Sorry Jacksonville Jaguars, nothing for your bulletin board this week. The Pittsburgh Steelers are making no predictions, promises or guarantees for Sunday's game, one that could prove pivotal in determining the AFC playoffs alignment. And what about Anthony Smith, whose guaranteed win last week proved to be a great motivational tool for the New England Patriots? He was nowhere to be found when the Steelers' locker room was open for interviews Wednesday. Also absent was any of that oh-so- |

His best individual season came in 2005 with Philadelphia, when he registered a career-high 101 tackles. Philip was claimed from the Pittsburgh Steelers, of whom he was a sixth-round draft pick before being released December 10. In order to clear roster space, the Browns waived linebacker Colby Bockwoldt and offensive lineman Greg Eslinger. In an unrelated move, the team also signed tight end Brad C |

The Seattle Seahawks finally halted that trend when they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XL during the 2005 season. Seattle won the NFC West last year before eventually falling to the Bears in the Divisional round of the NFC Playoffs. Of course, Chicago went on to lose to the Indianapolis Colts in the Super Bowl. PITTSBURGH (AP) -The Pittsburgh Steelers' loss at New England keeps getting worse. Aaron Smith, one of the Steelers' best defensive players, is out for the rest of the season after he tore a biceps muscle during the 21-point loss to the Patriots on Sunday. Smith, a defensive end, is an excellent run defender and one of the Steelers' most reliable players since breaking into the NFL as a fourth-round draft pick in 1999. He tried to keep playing during the 34-13 loss, but had to be replaced several times. C |

| Pittsburgh, PA (Best E Casino) - Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Aaron Smith has suffered a torn bicep that could require surgery, which would effectively end his season. Smith, a 6-foot-5, 298-pounder in his ninth season out of Northern Colorado, entered this season having played in every game since his rookie season of 1999 -- a string of 118 straight regular season contests. But a sprained ligament in his left knee kept Smith out of wins over Cincinnati and Baltimore in Weeks 8 and 9, and his most recent in |

One that sticks out involves the notion of a guarantee, in which the character played by Brian Dennehy tells a prospective auto-parts client, "We all know a guarantee's only as good as the man who writes it." So true, "Big Tom" Callahan. Too bad Pittsburgh Steelers safety Anthony Smith never saw your movie. Just days after making one of the most provocative and ludicrous victory guarantees in recent sports history, the second-year d-back and his team were dealt a 34-13 setback to the clearly superior New Engla |
