(Best E Casino) - The Philadelphia 76ers will try to stay on the winning track when they pay a visit to the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at the Target Center. All-Star weekend brings scrutiny of New Orleans as an NBA market NBA Basketball 02/14/2008
e Jazz fled New Orleans because of a lack of fan interest. During three of their five seasons in New Orleans, despite never making the playoffs, the Jazz drew at or above the NBA average (which back then ranged between 10,000 and 11,000).

When the Philadelphia 76ers visited New Orleans in November 1977, a then-NBA single-game record crowd of 35,077 turned out.

``The New Orleans basketball fan is just as passionate as fans anywhere,'' Bertka said. ``The critical thing is institutional support.''

PHIA (AP) -Trying to prepare for his next game, Andre Miller appeared bored with the news. He was the Eastern Conference player of the week.

``It's cool,'' was about the best he could muster.

His eyes rarely met the faces of his questioners. The Philadelphia 76ers point guard simply stared ahead, studying game tape on the big screen.

``That's Andre,'' center Samuel Dalembert said. ``He can be so serious. He's always a little quiet.''
