| Ottawa, ON (Best E Casino) - The Ottawa Senators signed journeyman netminder Alex Auld to a two-year contract, the team announced Tuesday. Auld has played in parts of six seasons with Vancouver, Florida, Phoenix and Boston. The 27-year-old split time, appearing in 32 contests, with both Phoenix and Boston last season, posting a 12-13-5 mark with a 2.32 goals against average. Ottawa filled the void for a backup to entrenched starter Martin Gerber after the club bought out Ray Emrey's contract late last month. |

McGrattan, 26, recorded three assists in 38 games with the Senators last season. The rugged winger has posted two goals and eight assists with 287 penalty minutes over his 143-game NHL career, all with Ottawa since 2005. |

OTTAWA (AP) -Craig Hartsburg is the new coach of the Ottawa Senators, who were swept out of the playoffs in the first round this spring - a year after reaching the Stanley Cup finals. Hartsburg, who previously coached Anaheim and Chicago, took over from Senators general manager Bryan Murray, who finished the season behind the Ottawa bench after coach John Paddock was fired in late February. Hartsburg, who signed a three-year contract, was an assistant coach for the Philadelphia Flyers from 2002 to 2004. |
