| hat John Paddock will be the new head coach of the Phantoms, replacing Berube. The 54-year-old Paddock enjoyed a brief NHL career with the Capitals, Nordiques and Flyers. However, he is better known as a head coach and general manager in the AHL and NHL. He won two Calder Cup titles in 1988 and 1999 with Hershey and Hartford, and spent four seasons as head coach of the Winnipeg Jets from 1991-95. Last year, Paddock went 36-23-6 as head coach of the Ottawa Senators before his firing late in the regular season. |

The 25-year-old Vermette tallied a career-high with 24 goals and 29 assists in addition to 51 penalty minutes in 81 games for the Senators last season. | Ottawa, Ontario (Best E Casino) - The Ottawa Senators signed goaltender Jeff Glass to a one-year, two-way contract Monday. Glass, 22, played last season with Ottawa's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. In 46 games with the B-Sens, he posted a 15-20-4 record with a 2.88 goals-against average and .913 save percentage. Auld has played in parts of six seasons with Vancouver, Florida, Phoenix and Boston.
