Report: Ben Gordon signs with Magic NBA Basketball 07/02/2014
( - The Orlando Magic have agreed to terms with veteran shooting guard Ben Gordon on a two-year contract, Yahoo! Sports reported Wednesday. According to the report, only the first year of the $9 million deal is guaranteed, with the Magic holding an option for the 2015-16 season. The move cannot be officially announced until July 10, when the NBA's moratorium on free agent signings is lifted. Gordon is coming off a 2013-14 in which he averaged a career-low 5.2 points and was waived by the C

Orlando, FL ( - The Orlando Magic claimed guard Willie Green off waivers on Monday. Green, who was waived by the Clippers on Sunday, appeared in 55 games (nine starts) for Los Angeles last season and averaged a career-low 5.0 points per game with 1.4 rebounds. The 11-year veteran has appeared in 679 regular-season games (295 starts) with the 76ers, Hornets, Hawks and Clippers and owns career averages of 8.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.

footer, and has already developed post moves that draw comparisons to Hakeem Olajuwon. Pairing him with Nerlens Noel in Philadelphia (assuming they can both remain healthy) could make for a scary forward combo. Talk about giants under the basket. 4. Orlando Magic - Aaron Gordon (SF/PF, Arizona) This is somewhat of a surprise pick, since many had Dante Exum pegged as the potential fourth overall pick. Instead of going with a guard combo of Exum and Victor Oladipo, the Magic decided on the freakishly athletic

in the NBA Draft on Thursday night. The Milwaukee Bucks followed by taking Duke freshman Jabari Parker at No. 2, not surprising considering Wiggins and Parker were widely seen as the top two prospects after 7-foot Kansas freshman Joel Embiid had foot surgery last week. The Cavaliers picked No. 1 for the second straight year -- and for the third time in four years -- after winning last month's draft lottery as a longshot. The Philadelphia 76ers have the No. 3 pick followed by the Orlando Magic and Utah Jazz.
Reports: Nuggets land Afflalo from Magic for Fournier, pick NBA Basketball 06/26/2014
( - Multiple reports indicate that the Denver Nuggets have acquired guard Arron Afflalo from the Orlando Magic for guard Evan Fournier and the 56th pick in Thursday night's NBA draft. Afflalo played for the Nuggets from 2009 to 2012 before being traded to the Magic as part of the four-team deal that involved Dwight Howard. The 28-year-old Afflalo is coming off a career season in which he averaged 18.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 73 games. In 499 career games (360 starts) with t

Re-signing free agents Marcin Gortat and Trevor Ariza will go a long way to helping Wall and the Wizards take the next step. ORLANDO MAGIC The Magic, who own the fourth pick in the draft, are linked to multiple rumors in an attempt to move into the top two. They supposedly have offered the fourth pick, 12th pick and Arron Afflalo to the Cleveland Cavaliers for the top overall pick and

s are getting offers for the No. 1 pick. The Philadelphia 76ers have dangled the third and 10th picks to move up and pluck Wiggins, while the Utah Jazz have made it clear they'd be amenable to sending the fifth pick and Derrick Favors for No. 1. The Orlando Magic have called and perhaps provide the best trade bait. Orlando has reportedly offered the fourth and 12th picks and guard Arron Afflalo to get that top spot. That move would only come if Embiid is there at No. 3 since the Sixers have Nerlens Noel ready to patrol the paint. 4.
