SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -Miguel Tejada returned to where he began his career, ready to face many of his former fans with a clear conscience.

Last month, Houston's star shortstop told the Astros he's actually 33, two years older than what the Oakland Athletics and everybody else thought when he signed with the organization in 1993 to escape the poverty he grew up in back home in his native Dominican Republic.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -The Oakland Athletics reinstated right-hander Rich Harden from the 15-day disabled list to make Sunday's start against the Texas Rangers, his first since April 2.

Harden was placed on the disabled list on April 10, retroactive to April 3, with a strained right shoulder, his sixth trip to the DL over the last four years.

Harden took the roster spot of outfielder Chris Denorfia, who was placed on the 15-day DL - retroactive to Wednesday - because of tightness in his lower back.
