| Toronto, ON (Best E Casino) - Oakland Athletics third baseman Eric Chavez will miss the rest of season after the club announced on Monday that he will need surgery on his right shoulder. The 11-year veteran was placed on the disabled list on July 2 with shoulder inflammation, but after more tests, it was decided that Chavez will have a season-ending procedure some time next week.
