Coach K not interested in Nets job NBA Basketball 04/05/2010

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Mike Krzyzewski isn't interested in leaving Duke for the New Jersey Nets.

Krzyzewski says through a spokesman that he hasn't been contacted by the Nets and ``wouldn't have any interest in the job.''

The Bergen Record, citing anonymous sources, reported that incoming Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov would offer Krzyzewski $12 million to $15 million per season.

Krzyzewski says in a statement Monday that ``you would be flattered if someone would offer you a job, but I would not be interest

Shaun Livingston joined both Nick Young and Cartier Martin with 16 points for the Wizards, who never trailed in the game. Nets, Hornets clash at the Meadowlands NBA Basketball 04/03/2010
(Best E Casino) - Two teams playing out the string get together tonight at the Meadowlands, where the New Jersey Nets play host to the New Orleans Hornets from the IZOD Center. The Nets will close out a three-game homestand this evening and have split the first two tests of the residency. After beating a tough San Antonio team to avoid NBA futility, the Nets dropped a 116-105 decision to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. on champion Boston Celtics. The notoriously tough Philadelphia media forever christened the team the "Nine and 73ers". Although threatened a few times, the 73 losses remain the all-time low-water mark for any NBA franchise nearly 40 years later. The New Jersey Nets gave it quite a run this season but officially avoided the mark on Monday when they topped the San Antonio Spurs for their 10th win. "I'm happy for the guys. I'm happy they continued to work hard and improve," interim head coach Kiki Vandeweghe said
Nets chief exec brown bags it with bag protesters NBA Basketball 03/30/2010

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -The New Jersey Nets' brown bag summit is over.

Nets chief executive Brett Yormark had a roughly 30-minute ``brown bag'' lunch on Tuesday with a fan that he confronted last week after the man wore a paper bag over his head to protest the NBA team's dismal season.

McDonald's provided the hamburgers, fries and salads and the brown bags for Yormark, two members of the Nets' radio broadcasting team and brothers Chris and Rob Lisi of Middletown.

Yormark exchanged words and pointed his fin

Tony Parker. With Parker currently sidelined with a broken hand, the Spurs have been tapping other wells for production. Richard Jefferson, George Hill and Roger Mason Jr. have done their part to carry the load. Never mind Monday's loss to the lowly New Jersey Nets, the Spurs will be a favorite to make a deep run in the Western playoffs. Despite sitting in the eighth and final postseason spot, San Antonio is just a half-game behind Oklahoma City and Portland for the No. 6 spot in the conference. With nine game
