| East Rutherford, NJ (Best E Casino) - New Jersey Nets forward Yi Jianlian had the stitches removed from his upper lip, the team reported on Tuesday. Already sidelined with a knee injury, Yi suffered a lacerated lip during a workout on December 5 and needed 50 stitches to close the wound. He will participate in non-contact drills this week and will be eligible to participate in practice on Monday, December 21. BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) -Former Hornets coach Byron Scott is rejoining ESPN as an NBA analyst. Scott was fired last month after more than five seasons in New Orleans. He coached the New Jersey Nets from 2000-04, leading them to two NBA finals appearances. Scott previously worked as an ESPN analyst during the 2003-04 season.
