| Glendale, AZ (Best E Casino) - This is the scenario no one envisioned - let alone talked about - as the New England Patriots put together the first undefeated regular season since 1972, rattling off 18 straight wins on their way to what looked like a cinch: a fourth Super Bowl title in seven years. The hype surrounding New England's pursuit of perfection centered on whether the Patriots measured up with those '72 Dolphins the equally renowned San Francisco 49ers teams of the 1980s, or the Dallas Cowboys of the mi |

"No one expected us to win." Going into the season, the 36-year-old Strahan was choosing whether to call it quits, but the league's single-season sacks record-holder decided it was best to come back; and on Sunday his veteran lea |

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -The New England Patriots' big, brawny and bearded guys were just plain bad. The AFC champions' heralded offensive line allowed a season-high five sacks to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl on Sunday, failing to give Tom Brady the type of tight protection they had guarded him with all season. ``It's one of those things where they have a great front seven,'' center Dan Koppen said. ``They have tremendous players up there and they just outplayed us.'' So long portrayed as an unkind, unbending caricature of himself, Coughlin got recognized as something different Sunday - a champion after leading his New York Giants to a stunning 17-14 upset of the no-longer-undefeated New England Patriots. ``Other than family,'' he said, ``the greatest feeling in the world is when, all of the sudden, you realize you're a world champion.'' GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -Plaxico Burress miscalculated. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots couldn't get 17 points against the New York Giants defense. Michael Strahan, Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora hounded and hit Brady from start to finish, limiting the NFL's all-time best offense to just two touchdowns in a stunning 17-14 victory that will go down as one of the biggest upsets in Super Bowl history. The 14 points were a season low for a team that was looking for a place in history. Now it has one. `` |
