Bears Vying to Reach .500 Vs. Vikings NFL Football 10/12/2007
(Best E Casino) - The Chicago Bears will play their third straight NFC North opponent this Sunday, as the division-rival Minnesota Vikings pay a visit to Soldier Field. The Brian Griese experiment in Chicago is now 1-1 after a loss to Detroit followed by last week's big win against previously-unbeaten Green Bay. Sunday's win at Lambeau Field ended a two-game slide for the defending NFC champions and lifted the Bears to a 2-3 record. Vikings DE Erasmus James set back by sore shoulder Headlines 10/11/2007

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -Minnesota Vikings defensive end Erasmus James was listed on Thursday's injury report with a shoulder injury, one day after reportedly getting into a fight with teammate Chester Taylor in the locker room.

James, who has been out since a knee injury in Week 2 of last season, has been steadily working his way back into playing shape and was considered a candidate to be activated on Sunday against Chicago. But he was a surprise addition to the injury report, and coach Brad Childress sa

re signs of life in the Chicago Bears' universe.

The defending NFC champions (2-3) rebounded just as it seemed they were taking their final breath, rallying for a 27-20 victory at Green Bay last week that might have saved their season. Beating the Minnesota Vikings (1-3) at Soldier Field on Sunday would be another step toward recovery.

True, their running game remains stagnant. Yes, the Bears are still nursing a bunch of injuries, particularly on defense. But they showed shades of their old selves last week.

Bears TEs exchange words with Vikings' Sharper after sparking win over Green Bay NFL Football 10/11/2007

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) -Tight ends Greg Olsen and Desmond Clark were a dangerous combo last week for the Chicago Bears, not that Minnesota Vikings safety Darren Sharper is concerned.

``I'm never concerned about the tight end,'' he said during a conference call with Chicago reporters on Wednesday.

Never?

``Never,'' the three-time Pro Bowl pick said. ``If a tight end catches a ball on me, then I need to be fired.''

His job is secure, but he might have to pay attention to Clark and Olsen when the Vikings

unced.''

``I can't even comment on Koren's situation right now,'' coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday. ``But that is something that we will watch.''

Robinson's suspension came in the wake of an incident in August 2006 while he was playing for the Minnesota Vikings.

Police said Robinson led them on a car chase at speeds over 100 mph, and his blood-alcohol content was found to be 0.11 percent, above the legal limit of 0.08. The Vikings cut Robinson, and he signed a two-year deal with the Packers in September.

In Week 2, Jon Kitna came back from a first-half injury to help the Lions to a thrilling victory in overtime against the Minnesota Vikings. Week 3 showed some of the Lions' glaring weaknesses in a 56-21 romp by the mediocre Eagles in Philadelphia. Two Sundays ago the Lions scored on the ground, through the air, on defense and special teams as they totaled a record-setting 34 points in
Vikings place DL Darrion Scott on injured reserve NFL Football 10/09/2007

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -The Minnesota Vikings placed backup defensive lineman Darrion Scott on injured reserve Tuesday.

Scott was on crutches in the locker room on Monday with an apparent problem with his left foot sustained during practice. He participated in drills during the portion of the workout that was open to the media.

In his fourth season out of Ohio State, Scott recorded three tackles and one quarterback hurry in four games. He was behind Kenechi Udeze at left end and played inside in passing
