MILWAUKEE (AP) -The Milwaukee Brewers have cut ties with veteran right-hander Jeff Weaver, releasing him from their Triple-A Nashville affiliate Thursday. Weaver signed with Milwaukee and agreed to pitch in the minor leagues in April after no team was willing to give him a job in the major leagues. He went 2-4 with a 6.22 ERA in nine starts in Nashville.
