| Chicago, IL (Best E Casino) - Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Alexander Karpovtsev suffered a fractured cheekbone in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes. Karpovtsev was struck in the face near his eye with a shot on his first shift of the second period. He did not return to the game and his status for Sunday's game against the Dallas Stars is unknown at this time.
