| Denver, CO (Best E Casino) - The Colorado Rockies activated first baseman Todd Helton from the 60-day disabled list on Friday. The 34-year-old Helton was placed on the 15-day DL on July 4, retroactive to July 3, with a strained lower back. He was transferred to the 60-day DL on August 6 and missed a total of 62 games. Helton is batting .265 with seven home runs and 29 RBI in 82 games for the Rockies this season. To make room on the roster, Colorado designated pitcher Pedro Strop for assignment. |
