He recovered in time to start the opener, but a questionable chop block to the right knee from Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn forced him to miss three games. Suggs finished with a career-low 4 1/2 sacks and entered the offseason determined to bounce back in 2010. ``The only thing that really propelled me to this year was I just wanted to be a bett |

The 2001 draft was a strong one for defensive linemen. Warren was taken third by the Cleveland Browns, Seymour went sixth to the Patriots and Lewis was picked 12th by the St. Louis Rams. Seymour has had the most successful career, but the other two bring veteran savvy to a young defense. ``I've known Gerard for a long time and he's been a good fri |

CLEVELAND (AP) -Joe Thomas is one of the few people the Cleveland Browns have been able to depend on. Entering his fourth NFL season, Thomas has started all 48 games the team has played since Cleveland selected the offensive left tackle with the third pick in the 2007 draft. Thomas, who has yet to miss an offensive snap, has been a rock of consistency for a team that has been plagued by losing and turmoil. Thomas was one of the Browns captains in 2009 and looks to assume even more of a leadership role th |

BEREA, Ohio (AP) -Shaun Rogers and Robaire Smith of the Cleveland Browns remain in limbo with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Goodell skirted the issue regarding suspensions to the two players on Thursday, but emphatically proclaimed that he wants a change to the way rookie salaries are handled. Goodell spoke with fans, coaches and players during a visit to the Browns' training camp. He addressed negotiations on a new collective bargaining agreement, rules to improve player safety, and said he is reviewi |

While the players remained the same, that cannot be said of the coaches. Former Cleveland Browns head coach Romeo Crennel was brought in as defensive coordinator and Tim Krumrie was replaced as defensive line coach by Anthony Pleasant, a 15-year veteran. BEREA, Ohio (AP) -So Jerome Harrison leads the Cleveland Browns to wins in their final four games last year, breaking rushing records held by the iconic Jim Brown while gaining 286 yards in one game. And what does he get when he returns to preseason camp? He's faced with doubts, cynics, and a battle for his starting job. In the offseason, the Browns drafted a running back and also traded for one. In just seven starts last season, Harrison had 862 yards on 194 carries and scored five touchdowns. He was |

BEREA, Ohio (AP) -Jake Delhomme has already been anointed the starting quarterback of the Cleveland Browns. But that doesn't mean there isn't a stadium full of questions surrounding him. Coming off a miserable season in Carolina where he encountered what one publication delicately called ``a 13-month turnover problem,'' the former Pro Bowler knows that at the age of 35 he has to prove all over again that he can lead an NFL offense. Delhomme had 18 interceptions a year ago compared to only eight touchdo |
