Nece, the son of Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott, played in 85 games with the Bucs from 2002 through 2007, but hadn't started a contest since 2006. That's a good thing, since his team is currently in need of a makeover even Ty Pennington and his crew wouldn't want to touch. The year 2007 was an absolute nightmare for the Falcons organization, with the sordid saga of star quarterback Michael Vick's over-the-summer indictment and subsequent incarceration over federal dogfighting charges creating both on and off-the-f |

In fact, not a single one of those clubs made the playoffs -- or even finished with a winning record -- the following season. Only one, the 2005 Atlanta Falcons, managed to make it to the .500 mark the year after coming in first place. The Buccaneers know these facts all too well.
